Lighting of the Quad 2025

Join fellow Blue Streaks and members of the JCU Community for one of JCU's most cherished traditions, Lighting of the Quad. Steeped in tradition and merriment, this event will include the lighting of the University Christmas Tree, the Christmas Carroll Eve Concert, and a visit from Santa Claus. 

Saturday, December 6, 2025
4:30 PM - Reception begins
5 PM - Tree lighting and carols
5:15 PM - Santa Claus arrives
7:00 PM - event concludes

The tree lighting and reception will take place on the Hamlin Quad and the St. Ignatius Hall steps. Food and beverages, including a buffet specifically for children, will be available for those in attendance in the Dolan Center for Science and Technology. Visits with Santa and crafts for children will occur on the 2nd Floor. 

Recommended parking is in the Carroll Expansion Lot, located directly next to Hamlin Quad, and in front of the Boler College of Business. View a campus map here. Signage will be available to guide you to each location. Please plan to dress accordingly for the outdoor reception and tree lighting.
